Trial set for Aug. 19 in Perrysburg slaying

BOWLING GREEN — A new jury trial date of Aug. 19 was set Friday for a Toledo man charged in the death of his girlfriend in Perrysburg Heights.

Jose Moya, Jr., 24, is charged with murder and tampering with evidence in the July 22 shooting death of Leandra Frankum, 21.

Moya had been expected to enter into a plea agreement in Wood County Common Pleas Court last month but instead asked for a new attorney to be appointed to his case.
