FREMONT — Bond was set at $1 million Friday for a Fremont man charged in his wife’s death from a methadone overdose.

Jason Risenberg, 37, was extradited Thursday from North Carolina to Fremont, then arraigned Friday before Sandusky County Common Pleas Judge John Dewey on charges of murder, involuntary manslaughter, and corrupting another with drugs in last April’s death of his wife, Beth Risenberg, 31.

An autopsy revealed Mrs. Risenberg died April 2 from a toxic level of methadone. Her death was ruled a homicide.
