A forum exploring obstacles that indigent people face in the justice system is being offered to social workers and community members by the American Civil Liberties Union of Ohio.

The seminar, which will provide three social-work continuing education credits, will be held from 9 a.m. to noon March 16 at the Kent Branch Library, 3101 Collingwood Blvd.

The ACLU said the forum will discuss pay-to-stay jails and debtors’ prison issues. Participants will be taught how to navigate the justice and prison systems and how to advocate for their clients’ rights.

Reservations can be made by calling the ACLU at 419-472-2220.
