Key Bank robber gets 18 months in prison

A Toledo man who robbed a Key Bank branch in East Toledo was sentenced Tuesday to 18 months in prison.

Dennis Thompson, 32, of 3389 Woodrow Blvd. also was ordered by Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Frederick McDonald to pay $800 in restitution to the bank.

Thompson, who pleaded guilty last month to robbery, walked into the bank, 324 Main St., on Nov. 28, handed the teller a note, and fled with $800.
