Second suspect pleads guilty in case of murdered gym owner

A second suspect charged in the robbery and slaying of a south Toledo gym owner pleaded guilty today to his role in the crime.

Chad Brown, 35, of 839 Walbridge Ave., pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the commission of felonious assault with a gun specification and aggravated robbery.

Lucas County Common Pleas Judge James Bates set sentencing for April 30.

Brown faces up to 25 years in prison.

Last week, Matthew Managhan, 34, of 3417 Anderson Pkwy., pleaded guilty to the same charges.
