A Toledo man who is charged with abducting the mother of his child at knifepoint, assaulting her, and threatening to kill her, their child, and himself was indicted Friday on multiple charges.

Larry Franco, Jr., 21, of 914 Willow Ave. was indicted by a Lucas County grand jury on five counts of rape, two counts of abduction, and one count each of domestic violence, aggravated robbery, and intimidation of a victim or witness in a case.

Mr. Franco, who is being held in the Lucas County jail, allegedly locked the victim in an East Toledo bedroom March 20, punched her repeatedly, and forbade her from leaving with the warning that he would kill her, the child, and then himself, according to police reports.

On April 2 — after he was charged with domestic violence and abduction but had not yet been apprehended — he allegedly forced her into a vehicle at knifepoint and again threatened her.

When she was able to escape from the car, he took her purse and ran, the charges allege.
