Bond was set at $100,000 today for a LaSalle, Mich. man charged in a wrong-way crash that killed a Toledo man on Christmas Day.

Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Frederick McDonald set the bond for Adam Tunison, 41, who is charged with two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide stemming from the death of Juan Garcia, Jr., 26.

Mr. Garcia was killed when a car traveling the wrong way on I-75 between the Ottawa River Road and I-280 interchange struck his vehicle head-on. One of the counts alleges Mr. Tunison was intoxicated at the time, while the other alleges he was driving recklessly.

Judge McDonald continued the arraignment of Mr. Tunison until May 7 when he plans to appear with his own attorney. He was walking with a crutch in court, and attorney Theodore B. Tucker III, said he was still under a doctor’s care for injuries from the crash.
