BOWLING GREEN — Two Toledo men — one the son of a Rossford man charged in a large-scale chop-shop operation — have been indicted by a Wood County grand jury for stealing scrap metal.

Gary G. Wymer, Jr., 27, of 139 E. Broadway and William Blasingim, 39, of 941 Willow St. were indicted Thursday for aggravated theft for allegedly taking scrap metal valued at between $150,000 and $750,000 from Berner Trucking and AK Tube LLC between Oct. 10 and Dec. 23, 2012.

Berner Trucking has a location at 4310 Lagrange St., while AK Steel is at 30400 E. Broadway in Walbridge.

Mr. Wymer’s father, Gary Wymer, Sr., 55, was among six men indicted in U.S. District Court in March on charges they transported and dismantled stolen tractor-trailer rigs and cargo, then sold the parts as scrap metal.
