E. Toledo man accused in shootings on Halstead

Toledo police charged an East Toledo man with two counts of felonious assault in connection with a shooting early Sunday morning that wounded two men.

Anthony Tardiff, 23, of 305 Willard St. is accused in the shootings of Darnell Buck and Charles Jackson at about 5 a.m. after a quarrel with two men at 1258 Halstead St.

Mr. Tardiff was in the Lucas County jail Sunday night pending arraignment today in Toledo Municipal Court.

Sgt. Joe Heffernan said the victims were taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center with wounds that were serious but not life-threatening.

Police initially said they were seeking two assailants, but Sergeant Heffernan did not indicate whether a second suspect was sought Sunday evening.
