A Toledo man pleaded no contest Tuesday and was found guilty of felonious assault for fleeing from police and injuring an officer.

Scott Gorsuch, 32, of 1225 Bernath Pkwy. faces up to 11 years in prison when he is sentenced Aug. 6 by Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Frederick McDonald.

Additional charges of failure to comply with the order of a police officer and two counts of vandalism are to be dismissed at sentencing.

Toledo police had attempted to stop Gorsuch for a traffic violation on Buckingham Street Feb. 6 when he drove off, crashed into a fence, drove off again, and sideswiped an officer. He was apprehended after running into a house.
