BOWLING GREEN — A Walbridge man charged with stabbing a man during a fight outside a Bowling Green restaurant pleaded guilty Monday to a reduced charge.

Carl Braden, 21, pleaded guilty in Wood County Common Pleas Court to attempted felonious assault. As part of a plea agreement, prosecutors said they will ask that a charge of tampering with evidence be dismissed at sentencing, which Judge Reeve Kelsey set for Oct. 21.

Braden stabbed Rory Sheeks, 23, of Bowling Green on March 31 during an altercation outside a Taco Bell on East Wooster Street. Police said the fight started after someone in the group made an obscene gesture.
