Troy Neff, 45, whose show on WCWA-AM and Toledo Free Press column were canceled following a road-rage altercation in 2008 in Perrysburg Township, now is charged with aggravated drug trafficking, two counts of drug possession, possession of a concealed weapon, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released Monday from the Lucas County jail on $1,000 bond.

Mr. Neff was stopped by police at 944 Forsythe St., according to court documents, and was found with dozens of acetaminophen and hydrocodone pills, a straw and bottle containing white powder residue, and a loaded .380-caliber semi-automatic handgun. Arraignment is scheduled for 9 a.m. Friday.

He was also charged with disorderly conduct for taunting and challenging someone Sunday to fight him in the street with brass knuckles, according to court documents, though it was not clear if that charge stems from the same incident.

Mr. Neff was convicted in 2009 of disorderly conduct with persistence, a charge reduced from a first-degree misdemeanor assault charge, for his role in the road-rage incident in which he fought another man he accused of cutting him off in traffic. Mr. Neff, who was stabbed several times during that conflict, was given a 30-day suspended jail sentence, two years' probation, and ordered to take anger-management classes.

He also pleaded no contest in 2009 to an unrelated drunken-driving charge after he was accused of nearly causing a collision with a police officer in Oregon.
