Woman pleads in high-speed chase

A Toledo woman charged with leading police on a high-speed chase while a shooting suspect was in her car pleaded guilty Monday in Lucas County Common Pleas Court.

Dameisha Foreman, 20, of 4408 Airport Hwy. pleaded guilty to obstructing justice for the June 5 incident in which she drove away from police in the 1200 block of West Sylvania Avenue. Her passenger, Anthony C. Smith, 27, of 2221 Auburn Ave. was wanted at the time for felonious assault and intimidation of a witness, although he since has been indicted on two additional counts of felonious assault and one count of having a weapon while under disability.

Foreman is to be sentenced Sept. 19 by Judge Dean Mandros.
