A Toledo man accused of crashing head-on into a motorcyclist and killing him denied having any role in the crash during arraignment today in Toledo Municipal Court.
Charged with failure to stop after an accident, drug abuse, and possession of drug paraphernalia is David Robinson, 39, of 1846 Palmwood Ave.
Judge Michelle Wagner ordered Robinson's bond set at $100,000 and urged him to obtain an attorney.
“You're facing very serious charges,” the judge told Robinson, who said repeatedly he didn't “have anything to do with any accident.”
“I was just released from Stryker that day,” Robinson said in his own defense.
Police allege that Robinson went left of center on Douglas Road and collided head on with a motorcycle driven by Jason Alexander, 32, of Toledo, on Wednesday night.
Mr. Alexander was pronounced dead at the scene.
The motorist fled on foot, police said. Robinson was later arrested about a mile away near the Miracle Mile Shopping Center.
