  • Chanting "Justice for Elaina," hundreds gathered outside the Lucas County Courthouse today.

The announced crowd of 350 marched from the courthouse to the county jail, chanting the entire way as they wrapped around the jail.

"I wanted to rock it [the jail]. I never thought it would rock like that," Terry Steinfurth, Sr., the grandfather of Elaina Steinfurth, said after the rally.

The march was planned after a body that police believe to have been Elaina Steinfurth, 18 months old, was found in the detached garage of the home in which she had been staying.

Elaina's biological mother and custodial parent, Angela Steinfurth, and her mother's estranged boyfriend, Steven King, Jr., are both in the jail.

Mrs. Steinfurth is charged with obstructing justice in the case, while Mr. King is accused of providing false information to investigators.
