A Toledo man pleaded guilty Tuesday to two counts of robbery stemming from two separate holdups.

Travis L. Welch, 30, of 1752 Brownstone Blvd. is to be sentenced Thursday by Lucas County Common Pleas Judge James Bates, who accepted his pleas and found him guilty. He faces 2 to 8 years in prison on each count.

Louis Kountouris, an assistant Lucas County prosecutor, told the court that Welch robbed a KFC restaurant on West Alexis Road in Sylvania on Dec. 22, and robbed and tied up an elderly man at a house in the 1300 block of Ontario Street on Jan. 3.
