Oak Harbor woman allegedly passed drugs to inmate she was visiting at Toledo Correctional

An Oak Harbor woman was arraigned today in Toledo Municipal Court for allegedly taking drugs into the Toledo Correctional Institution.

Ann Goode, 42, of 2722 S. Muddy Creek North Rd., is charged with illegal conveyance into a detention facility. Her bond was set at $5,000.

Troopers, who investigate crimes at the state's prisons, said Ms. Goode was visiting an inmate at the prison Wednesday and was reportedly seen passing off the contraband to the man she was visiting.

The inmate was not identified.

Troopers said the suspect had 0.06 pounds of marijuana -- 26 grams --  and 0.004 pounds -- 2 grams -- of crushed Percocet pills; she also had 2.5 Alprazolam pills.

If convicted, Ms. Goode could face up to three years in prison and up to a $7,500 fine.
