A Toledo man who assaulted, abducted, and threatened his former girlfriend was sentenced Tuesday to three years in prison.

Larry Franco, Jr., 21, of 914 Willow Ave., also was ordered by Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Myron Duhart to pay $1,900 restitution and have no contact with the victim, Kayla Larson, with whom Franco has a daughter. He pleaded guilty last month to domestic violence, abduction, and intimidation of a witness for the incidents March 20 in East Toledo.

“You will get out, so if you want to continue to be a threat to the community and be locked up — as someone I know and is near and dear to me would often say, you’re going to spend your life in prison on the installment plan,” the judge told Franco.
