A Toledo woman has been indicted on charges she was using food stamps that did not belong to her.

Donya Ramos, 36, of 2227 Kent St. was indicted by a Lucas County grand jury on three counts of illegal use of food stamps, a fifth-degree felony.

According to the Ohio Highway Patrol, Ms. Ramos was stopped by troopers on the Ohio Turnpike for speeding in September. During the traffic stop, troopers allegedly found three electronic benefit transfer cards that didn’t belong to her. Agents with the Ohio Investigation Unit’s Toledo District Office began investigating and concluded that Ramos was using the cards at locations in the Toledo area.
