Delta woman pleads guilty to shooting teen son

WAUSEON – A Delta, Ohio woman charged with shooting her 15-year-old son pleaded guilty Tuesday to attempted aggravated murder.

Candis J. Sherman, 57, entered the plea in Fulton County Common Pleas Court before Judge James Barber, who ordered a pre-sentence report but did not schedule a sentencing date.

Sherman, who is being held at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio near Stryker, was arrested July 21 after authorities were called to her home on State Rt. 109 in Fulton County’s Swancreek Township on a report of a shooting just after 9:30 a.m.

Fifteen-year-old Logan Sherman had been shot in the arm and the back area, although investigators provided few details about what had occurred.
