Man in court on robbery charges

A Toledo man accused of robbing a Family Dollar store Sunday was arraigned Friday in Toledo Municipal Court.

Charged with one count of aggravated robbery is Ralph Battle, 58, of 2306 Isherwood St., who was ordered held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $50,000 bond.

Police reported a man fled with $262 from the 1910 W. Bancroft St. store shortly before 10 p.m. after entering with his hand in a coat pocket, as if he had a gun, and demanding cash. The theft was captured by a surveillance camera, and an employee recognized the alleged robber as a regular customer, police said.
