TIFFIN — A proposed justice center project won support Wednesday from City Council.
Council President Rich Cline said council unanimously approved a resolution expressing its support for the justice center concept, which would provide a home for the municipal court and the Seneca County Common Pleas Courts.
A recently released study recommended the city and county team up to build a justice center, at an estimated cost of $8.5 million, on the site where the Seneca County Courthouse stood until it was razed in 2012. The city’s resolution also urges county commissioners to “actively” consider the project.
