A Sylvania man was charged with two counts of aggravated menacing for allegedly threatening city of Toledo employees.

Adel Kamal, 54, of 4731 Mt. Airy Rd. was arrested by the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force on Thursday, but taken to ProMedica Flower Hospital when he reported having a medical episode.

According to a Toledo police report, Mr. Kamal went to One Government Center at 1:30 p.m. Monday to make a complaint about a notice that had been left at 882 Ogden St., which stated the property was not fit for human habitation. He allegedly got into a verbal altercation with Bridgette Turner, who inspected the property and left the notice on April 10, and Ms. Turner’s supervisor, Dennis Kennedy.

The city employees reported that Mr. Kamal told Ms. Turner, “I have a gift for you.” When she asked what it was, he reportedly said, “Don't worry about it. You're going to die soon,” the police report states.

Mr. Kamal then reportedly left the building.
