Area man charged with 
promoting prostitution

A man accused of taking a minor across state lines for prostitution remained in the Lucas County jail on Monday.

Robert Pollard III, 23, of 34 N. Eber Rd., Holland, is charged with promoting prostitution. He was arraigned on Saturday in Toledo Municipal Court; his bond was set at $75,000.

Police allege the suspect took the minor, whose age and gender were unavailable, from Toledo to Detroit and Chicago for prostitution. The suspect is also accused of posting advertisements for the minor, according to an affidavit.

Mr. Pollard is to be in court for a preliminary hearing Friday.
