A former employee of the Correctional Treatment Facility in Toledo was placed on probation for one year Monday after pleading no contest to two misdemeanors in Lucas County Common Pleas Court.

Morris Collier, 52, and Donna Keys, 36, both of 2363 Winterset Dr., each had been indicted for aggravated burglary and burglary but pleaded no contest to aggravated trespassing and criminal damaging for a Nov. 21 incident at a rental property they own.

Prosecutors said they entered without warning the tenants and damaged some property inside because the tenants had not been paying their rent.

Judge Michael Goulding placed both on probation for a year and ordered Mr. Collier to have no contact with the victims in the case.

Mr. Collier worked from 1995 until 2003 at CTF, a community-based correctional facility where criminal offenders are in a lockdown setting but receive treatment for substance abuse, mental health, and other issues.

Records show he resigned in 2003 amid an investigation into allegations he had a personal relationship with a defendant who was under the court’s supervision.
