A Toledo man who stabbed another man who had confronted him has been placed on community control for three years.

Dominique Noble, 24, of 430 Everett St. pleaded no contest April 17 to assault, a first-degree misdemeanor, for the Feb. 11 stabbing of Frederick Jennings in the 900 block of Walnut Street. Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Linda Jennings on Wednesday ordered him to perform 75 hours of community service, complete an anger-management, and random drug tests.

Prosecutors said a police camera confirmed Mr. Noble’s account that he was trying to get away from them when Mr. Jennings was stabbed in the abdomen.
