Bond was set at $775,000 on Tuesday for a Springfield Township man charged in the fatal stabbing of a 72-year-old woman with whom he had been living.

Adam Akers, 41, of 7519 Dorr St. appeared before Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Myron Duhart, who continued his arraignment until next Tuesday at the request of defense attorney Ronnie Wingate.

Mr. Akers is charged with murder and felonious assault for the May 14 death of Judith Uyttenhove, who was stabbed 13 times with a kitchen knife. Investigators said he had recently moved into her Royal Village mobile home.
