A former McDonald’s employee who stole debit-card information from a customer has been sentenced to 60 days in the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio.

Sarah Williams, 19, of 4038 Jackman Rd. also was ordered Wednesday by Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Gary Cook to spend 90 days in the county Work Release Program after her jail term, consume no alcohol or drugs, and undergo random drug testing during two years of community control.

A jury found Williams guilty May 13 of receiving stolen property, identity fraud, and possessing criminal tools. While working the drive-thru window of McDonald’s at West Sylvania and Lockwood avenues, she swiped the debit card through a device that copies and stores the data. A copy of the card was later used to make purchases.
