Trio arraigned for robbery

A judge set bond at $100,000 Monday for each of three Toledo men accused in a Sunday-night robbery in West Toledo during which the victim was shot in the leg.

James Norwood, 24, of 3745 Erie St.; Antoine Parks, 25, of 1525 Palmwood Ave. and Justin Shelton, 24, of 3909 Lockwood Ave. were arraigned in Toledo Municipal Court on single counts of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon in the shooting of David Jones. The victim’‍s age and condition were not released.

Each suspect was ordered held in lieu of bond at the Lucas County jail pending preliminary hearing set for July 8.

Mr. Jones was shot about 8:55 p.m. Sunday in the 1700 block of Mansfield Road near Jackman Road and Berdan Avenue, according to Toledo police. Two men assaulted the victim, demanded money, and fled, police said.

Jail records show the suspects were arrested within hours of the robbery. Police arrested the first two at 9:19 p.m. Sunday at North Detroit and Foster avenues and the third at 11:08 p.m. at North Detroit and Palmwood Avenue.
