Wolcott House gets final primping for 'Joys and Toys'

Marilyn Wendler, curator of the Wolcott House Museum in Maumee, adjusts the dress of a doll for ‘Joys and Toys of Christmas Past,' which runs through Sunday in the museum at 1035 River Rd.

The exhibit features toys from the early 19th century through the Great Depression.

The doll in the photograph dates to the 1840s and is still wearing its original dress.

Guided tours begin at 12:30 and 2:30 p.m. daily. Tickets are $3.50 for adults, $3 for seniors, and $1.50 for students. Information: 419-893-9602.
