Local man wins Pi Kappa Phi award

A Sylvania Township man has received the 2014 Pi Kappa Phi National Fraternity’s Regional Governor of the Year award for 2014.

Mark A. Urrutia received the award during the fraternity’s national alumni breakfast Aug. 8 in Atlanta at its Supreme Chapter meeting.

The Regional Governor of the Year award acknowledged his volunteer role as an adviser who supports the fraternity through service and dedication. Mr. Urrutia, a 1988 graduate of the University of Toledo, has volunteered for the fraternity for nearly two decades.
