Celebrity publicist Paul Wasserman dies at 73

LOS ANGELES - Celebrity publicist Paul Wasserman, whose clients included the Rolling Stones, the Who, Linda Ronstadt, Bob Dylan, and Neil Diamond, has died. He was 73.

Mr. Wasserman also represented actors Lee Marvin, Dennis Hopper, Jack Lemmon, Jack Nicholson, and George C. Scott. He made his biggest mark as a music publicist, representing the Mamas and the Papas and Tom Petty.

His career ended in 2000 when he pleaded guilty to grand theft. He used the names of famous clients to swindle friends.
