    Dogs killed

    Dogs killed April 3 and 5-6 under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:

    Breed and description; location seized; charge (if applicable). Dogs killed for poor behavior are scored on a scale up to 5, with higher scores being more aggressive:

    “Pit bull” mix, brindle female, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/dog aggression (scored 4 out of 4 on April 2), confiscated by police from Forest Avenue, Toledo.

    Basset hound, white and black female, unlicensed, owner requested euthanasia (dog was old, not eating or drinking, had difficulty walking), surrendered by Matthew Vanderhorst, 134th Street, Toledo.

    “Pit bull” mix, blue and white female, unlicensed, fearful/unsafe, Sunnyside Drive, Toledo, stray.

    German shepherd/Rottweiler mix, brown male, unlicensed, owner requested euthanasia (dog was old, not eating, had difficulty walking), surrendered by Jaryl Newby, Vance Street, Toledo.

    Labrador retriever mix, yellow male, unlicensed, bite history, surrendered by Karen Aldrich, Oak Street, Toledo.
