Dogs remain available at the Lucas County Canine Care & Control office, 410 South Erie St., Toledo. For information, call 419-213-2800.

For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com. A $100 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

 

Dogs killed

Dogs killed May 15 under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:

Breed and description; location seized; charge (if applicable). Dogs killed for poor behavior are scored on a scale up to 5, with higher scores being more aggressive:

“Pit bull,” blue and white male, unlicensed, attacked another dog in the shelter, Torrance Drive, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

Cocker spaniel, gray female, unlicensed, owner requested euthanasia (unable to walk, blind), surrendered by Karen Coker, Liberty Street, Toledo.

“Pit bull,” tan and white female, Douglas Road, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

Boxer, brown and white female, Toronto Avenue, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.

 

Dog transferred

Dog transferred May 13 to the Toledo Area Humane Society under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:

Breed and description; location seized; charge (if applicable):

Beagle mix, tricolor and white male, South Erie Street, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.
