Dogs remain available at the Lucas County Canine Care & Control office, 410 South Erie St., Toledo. For information, call 419-213-2800.

Dogs killed

Dogs killed May 25 and 27 under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:

Breed and description; location seized; charge (if applicable). Dogs killed for poor behavior are scored on a scale up to 5, with higher scores being more aggressive:

“Pit bull,” white and brown female, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/body handling (scored 3 out of 5 on May 24), Detroit Avenue, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.

“Pit bull,” tan and white male, unlicensed, aggressive/unsafe, Eleanor Avenue, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

Labrador retriever mix, black and white female, unlicensed, attacked other dogs in the shelter, Willard Street, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

“Pit bull,” white and orange male, unlicensed, attempted to bite staff during veterinary exam, May Avenue, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

“Pit bull,” black and white male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/dog aggression (scored 4/4 on May 24), Hillwood Drive, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

Siberian husky, black and white female, unlicensed, owner requested euthanasia (aggressive toward people), surrendered by Kari Hudnall, York Street, Toledo.
