For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com. A $100 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation. 

 

Dogs killed

Dogs killed June 18 under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:

Breed and description; location seized; charge (if applicable). Dogs killed for poor behavior are scored on a scale up to 5, with higher scores being more aggressive:

Boxer/​German shepherd mix, brown male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/​dog aggression (scored 4 out of 4 on June 15), Euclid Avenue, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

Dachshund mix, orange male, unlicensed, veterinarian recommended euthanasia/​quality of life (severe respiratory disease with labored breathing, mature cataract, curved spine suggestive of severe arthritis and spondylosis, reluctant to walk, arthritic and painful knees and hips, severe dental disease with infected gums, underweight, muscle wasting, weak, refusing to eat, very poor prognosis), Parkwood Boulevard, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.
