Dogs killed

Dogs killed Aug. 14-15 and 17 under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:

Breed and description; location seized; charge (if applicable). Dogs killed for poor behavior are scored on a scale up to 5, with higher scores being more aggressive:

Mastiff, black and white female, unlicensed, attacked a dog while running loose, Colima Drive, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

German shepherd mix, brindle and white male, unlicensed, owner requested euthanasia (bite history), surrendered by Mario Hernandez, Jamesway Drive, Toledo.

“Pit bull,” white and black male, unlicensed, fearful/​unsafe, surrendered by Laura Romans, North Michigan Street, Toledo.

“Pit bull,” white and brown male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/​dog aggression (scored 4 out of 4 on Aug. 16), surrendered by Jeffery Brown, Parker Avenue, Toledo.

Bullmastiff, tan and white male, unlicensed, aggressive/​unsafe, Comet Avenue, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.

Boxer, orange and white male, Swan Creek Preserve Metropark, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.

“Pit bull” mix, black female, Putnam Street, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.
