Rossford: Council moves meeting for Buckeyes

12/27/2006

In honor of the Ohio State University Buckeyes making it to the Tostitos BCS National Championship game in Arizona next month, Rossford City Council moved up the time of its regularly scheduled meeting on Jan. 8.

The regular council meeting will be called to order at 5:30 p.m., 90 minutes before its usual start time.

Councilmen hope the earlier start will give them enough time to watch Ohio State battle it out with Florida for the national title. The game starts at 8 p.m.

Those borrowing books from the Walbridge branch of the Wood County District Public Library will need to return the materials inside the building for the next week or two.

The library's book-return box is being repainted over the holidays and will be out of commission until mid-January, branch manager Roberta Vermaaten said.

The regular hours for the library, 108 North Main St., are from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

The library will be closed Jan. 1.
