Student of the Week: Eman Dahan, Waite High School

Eman Dahan, a senior from Toledo, plans to enroll in the University of Toledo's nursing program in the fall of 2008. She has a 4.2 grade-point average and enjoys math and science.

Eman is recipient of the Top Ten Award, the Orchestra Award, and the English III Award. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Indian 100 Leadership Team, Waite High School orchestra, Adelante, and Toledo Excel.

Over the past few summers, Eman has volunteered at the Sofia Quintero Art and Cultural Center, St. Charles in the Child Development Center, the Boys and Girls Clubs, and the Clean Your Streams Program.

"Eman is a consistent and hard working young woman both in and outside the classroom," said David Yenrick, principal. "She is determined to do her best in all subject areas."

Eman is the daughter of Jamileh Abde and Dahan Dahan.
