Student of the Week: Matthew Pike

Matthew Pike, a senior from Curtice, plans to study aerospace engineering at either Ohio State University or Ohio University. He has a 3.69 grade-point average and enjoys math and science.

Matthew was the recipient of the 2006 American Legion Americanism Award and has earned two 1st-place ribbons at the 5 County Art Show. He is secretary of the National Honor Society, a drama club member, and a volunteer at Bay Park Community Hospital and Habitat for Humanity.

Counselor Angie Closson, said Matt has earned the respect of his teachers and will be an asset to his university.

Matthew is the son of Eddie and Karen Pike.
