Eastwood supervisor to take post with schools in Rossford

Jeff Culler, the buildings and grounds and transportation supervisor for Eastwood, is taking a position with the Rossford Exempted Village Schools District.

Mr. Culler, 48, who lives in Northwood and had been with Eastwood for 13 years, will be the director of transportation at Rossford.

Mr. Culler said he would be in solely in charge of transportation in Rossford. At Eastwood, he was responsible for buildings and grounds and maintenance, as well as transportation.

"I feel great about this - I'll be able to focus only on transportation and be able to do a better job," Mr. Culler said.

Previously Mr. Culler was a a bus mechanic and worked on repairs in the Northwood Local Schools district for 10 years.

He said he was leaving his Eastwood post because the Rossford position offers a higher salary. At Eastwood, Mr. Culler's salary was $48,238, while his base salary in Rossford is $62,500.

Mr. Culler said that he would miss his Eastwood friends and the community.

"The years that I've had at Eastwood have been great," Mr. Culler said. "I'm going to miss the community and the people. I've developed a lot of friendships and I'm going to miss that."

"We're disappointed to see him go, but we wish him the best with his new post," said Brent Welker, Eastwood superintendent.
