'Military heroes' theme of Genoa homecoming

"Celebrating Our Hometown Military Heroes" is the theme for Genoa's annual homecoming, June 4-5.

This year's homecoming parade will feature participating branches of the armed forces past and present, local high school bands, and floats. The family festival includes arts and crafts, children's activities, live entertainment, rides, a pie-baking contest, a car show, a beanbag-toss tournament, a teen dance, and fireworks.

The event is presented by the Genoa Area Chamber of Commerce and the Genoa Merchants Association.
