Organizers of the German-American Festival report that more than 34,000 visitors passed through the gates during the event’s run from Aug. 24 through Aug. 26 in Oregon’s Oak Shade Grove.

“We were really pleased with the size of the crowds at this year’s festival. We were especially happy to welcome many servicemen and women in Toledo for Navy Week. Their crisp white uniforms stood out … and allowed locals to thank them for their service to our country,” chairman Tim Pecsenye said.
