The Salvation Army, Port Clinton Service Unit, still has school supplies and book bags for those in need.

More information is available from Director Maureen Saponari at 419-732-2769.

Since 2002, the Salvation Army's Port Clinton Service Unit has run a school supply assistance program in August. This year, the program helped 600 local students by buying supplies with money from community members and businesses.

"Thank you for all who have contributed funds, supplies and volunteer hours to this program. We could not continue to help our children without your support," the organization said in a statement.
