City Council has approved spending up to $124,876 for design review and construction services related to the city’s flood relief and erosion-control project. The expense is for the construction of a twin box culvert in the Norfolk Southern right-of-way on tracks south of Cedar Point Road and west of Wynn Road.

Council last week also authorized spending $5,557.50 for a performance bond for the flood relief project required by the Army Corps of Engineers. The performance bond is valued at $370,500.
