La-Z-Boy names vice president

La-Z-Boy Inc., of Monroe, has promoted Otis S. Sawyer to senior vice president, corporate operations, from chief information officer. In addition, Richard M. Gabrys has been elected to the board of directors.

University Medical Center and St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, both of Toledo, are among the 100 Top Hospitals Performance Leaders across the nation for 2005, according to a study by Solucient, an information products company for the health-care industry.
