Ohio tax credits OK d for two area projects

COLUMBUS AJM Packaging Corp., of Bloomfield Hills, Mich., has received an Ohio tax credit to create 150 jobs as part of its warehouse expansion in Bellevue in Sandusky County.

The Ohio Tax Credit Authority yesterday approved a 40 percent, eight-year tax credit for the $3 million expansion to allow the facility to make private-label and branded paper products, such as paper plates and cups. The jobs will pay $16 an hour.

CK Technologies LLC received a 55 percent, seven-year tax credit to add 36 jobs and retain 162 others as part of its $4.8 million expansion of a parts molding in Montpelier in Williams County. The jobs will pay $13 an hour.

Scrubbed from the state tax authority meeting was a $3 million project by Highway Composites LLC, parent of Monroeville Industrial Moldings Inc. and PIPO Inc.. It was to add 69 jobs paying $10.75 an hour.
