Trucking firm to move into picture-tube plant

6/27/2006

OTTAWA - Ohio Logistics, a trucking firm headquartered in Findlay, will move into a building here formerly used by LG Philips Displays, which shut its picture tube-making operations and moved to Mexico in 2002.

The trucking firm plans to lease the 200,000-square-foot building from Pandora Warehousing LLC, which bought the property in January for $1.1 million. Ohio Logistics is a freight hauler that ships goods for various companies.

Pandora Warehousing is a sister company of Pandora Manufacturing LLC, which lost its factory to a chemical explosion and fire that injured nine people this month. Dave Roper and Pat Parks, owners of both companies, had planned to use the former picture-tube plant as a warehouse and distribution center for manufacturing, but dropped the plan after the fire.
