10/12/2007

Two northwest Ohio safety councils who participate in a state Bureau of Workers Compensation safety program are to receive $1.6 million in savings on insurance.

The program gives money to local safety councils to train employers. The Safety Council of Northwest Ohio, Northwood, is to receive $1.3 million and the Black Swamp Safety Council, Defiance, is to get $340,000. Employers make up the councils.
