COLUMBUS Westhaven Services Co. has been granted a $200,000 state grant to help pay for machinery for the Perrysburg Township firm s expansion in Maumee and its consolidated administrative office in its Wood County town.

The $3.5 million project, which the state controlling board helped finance yesterday, is to create 225 jobs and retain 250 positions within three years.

The equipment to be purchased includes drug-dispensing machines, computer and telephone servers.

Also, the Spectra Group Limited Inc., with a site in Millbury, was awarded $350,000 by the state controlling board to develop its technology that has applications including laser and digital light processing. The project is to add 16 jobs.
